2022 CARLI Annual Meeting and Directors' Meetings

Registration is open for the 2022 CARLI Annual Meeting to be held Friday, November 4 at the I Hotel and Conference Center in Champaign. Staff at any CARLI member library is invited to attend.

Illinois SCOERs Awards $494,000 in First Round Funding 

CARLI is pleased to announce Round One awards for the "Illinois SCOERs: Support for the Creation of Open Educational Resources" Subgrants, funded by the Open Textbooks Pilot Grant received from the Fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education (FIPSE) and the U.S. Department of Education.

The election and appointment process for the new members of the CARLI Board of Directors is now complete. 
 
Directors elected to 3-year terms are: Stephanie Davis-Kahl (Illinois Wesleyan University), Dennis Krieb (Lewis and Clark Community College), and Pattie Piotrowski (University of Illinois Springfield)
 
Jo Cates from Columbia College Chicago will fill the vacancy left by Rebecca Donald for a two-year term starting July 1, 2022.

Volunteer for a CARLI Committee

CARLI is seeking volunteers to serve on advisory committees. The application period will close on May 4 at 5:00 p.m. Volunteers chosen will serve a three-year term, July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025. Faculty and staff members from all CARLI member libraries, with all levels of experience, are encouraged to apply.

Voting is now open for seats on the CARLI Board of Directors. Each of the CARLI constituencies—Community Colleges; Private Colleges and Universities; and Public Universities—will elect one new Board member for a three-year term (July 1, 2022–June 30, 2025). A Board member will also be elected to fill a mid-term opening in the private university constituency to a two-year term, July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2024.

The CARLI Instruction Committee is seeking presentation proposals for the 10th annual Instruction Showcase, held virtually on Friday, May 20th.
CARLI members are welcome to submit proposals on all library instruction topics and are encouraged to draw inspiration from the committee's theme this year, “Re-imagining Instruction After Disruption”.
