Alma Digital for CARLI I-Share Libraries

Background

Alma Digital is not included as a CARLI-provided offering in the Ex Libris contract for Alma for I-Share. A separate subscription for Alma Digital is required to use the product within Alma.

A separate subscription for Alma Digital or Alma Digital for Controlled Digital Lending is required if an I-Share library wishes to create Digital Representations (files) and store them in Alma.  For more details on what workflows require a separate subscription, see Ex Libris's site: What are the licensing requirements for managing digital resources in Alma?

CARLI previously offered member libraries the option to subscribe to Alma Digital or Alma Digital for Controlled Digital Lending as an add-on product, but that program ended July 1, 2025. Existing CARLI member library subscribers may continue to subscribe to Alma Digital according to their library's contract terms, but new subscriptions are not currently available.
