On behalf of Nicholas Jones, Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs, University of Illinois System, we are pleased to announce that Laurie Blandino has been named senior director designate of the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI), which is part of the University of Illinois System. She will begin her role December 8, while pending formal approval for her position at the January meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois.

It is official! At their September 18 meeting, the ILA Executive Board confirmed Anne Craig as an Illinois Library Luminary! Anne′s achievements were celebrated at the ILA Award Luncheon on October 14 during the ILA Annual Conference in Rosemont.

The CARLI Files Server (files.carli.illinois.edu) went down the evening of July 7 around 7PM and was returned to service at 8:44AM July 8. CARLI Staff are investigating the cause. In the meantime, additional monitoring and alerts have been set in place to prevent future down time.
