Due to sustainability, efficiency, and safety reasons, the Consortium for Academic & Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI), the Illinois Heartland Library System (IHLS), and the Reaching Across Illinois Library System (RAILS) are announcing a change to the Illinois Library Delivery Service (ILDS).
CARLI is pleased to announce recipients of the CARLI 2026–2027 Academic Year Scholarship that helps support the education of the dedicated staff of CARLI member libraries. The recipients are Levi Curtis, University of Chicago; and Kennedy Gerton, Greenville University.
The scholarship is funded by donors who have generously supported this important program, helping CARLI to grow the profession.

CARLI is proud to announce the funded projects of the CARLI Member OER Initiative. With $300,000 set aside by the CARLI Governing Board, twelve member libraries across Illinois will receive awards ranging from $7,000 to $30,000 to increase the awareness and use of Open Educational Resources (OER) at their institutions. These projects represent a significant investment in student success, academic equity, and the future of open educational practice in Illinois.

Voting is now open for seats on the CARLI Governance Board. Each of the CARLI constituencies—Community Colleges; Private Colleges and Universities; and Public Universities—will elect one new Board member for a three-year term (July 1, 2026–June 30, 2029).
If you have been considering volunteering for a CARLI committee, the application period will remain open until May 1. Volunteers chosen for a committee will serve a three-year term. Faculty and staff from all CARLI member libraries are encouraged to apply!
