I-ShareI-Share AFN Stat 4: Count of Requests by My Patrons for I-Share Items FY 2026

Beginning in FY 2024, CARLI staff reevaluated and adjusted this report so that the count of initiated requests more accurately reflects the number of unique requests placed by a library’s borrowers. Additionally, the column "Unfilled Requests" now contains Cancelled, Unfilled, and Deleted requests combined; in previous fiscal year stats, these counts were subdivided into separate columns.
- This report does NOT include requests placed by patrons where Alma could identify no potential lenders for the request and thus could not build a ROTA.
- For libraries using Alma's Lender of Last Resort (LoLR) or other request-forwarding functionality, the data below does not include those requests forwarded to the other ILL service (WorldShare, ILLiad, etc.).
- The "Initiated Requests" column totals the number of requests made by patrons from that institution.
- The "Filled Requests" column totals the number of the initiated requests for which another I-Share library filled the request for the patron. This total includes both items that did arrive at the patron’s pick-up location for hold and items that did not arrive for hold (due to staff or delivery error).
- The "Unfilled Requests" column totals the requests placed by the patrons where the patron's request went unfulfilled.
- The Unfilled Requests include:
- those that were "rejected" by the possible lenders either because no I-Share library was able to fill the request or because the patron was ineligible for the request (aka, had a network block)
- those that were canceled by patrons or staff
- those that were deleted from the system by staff
