I-Share AFN Stat 4: Count of Home User's Requests for I-Share Items FY24

For FY 24, CARLI staff reevaluated this report and have adjusted it so that the count of initiated requests more accurately reflects the number of unique requests placed by a library’s borrowers. Additionally, the column “Unfilled Requests” now contains Cancelled, Unfilled, and Deleted requests combined; in previous fiscal year stats, these counts were subdivided into separate columns.  

Update 9/27/2024: For libraries using Alma's Lender of Last Resort (LoLR) or other request-forwarding functionality, the data below includes those requests passed over to your other ILL service (WorldShare, ILLiad, etc.). CARLI Staff are working to update AFN Stat 4 to exclude those requests. We will update the AFN Stat 4 webpage, and send an email to I-Share Liaisons at MHC, MON, NPU, RSH, SWI once the report is updated for those libraries using request forwarding.

• This report does NOT include requests placed by patrons, where Alma could identify no potential lenders for the request and thus could not build a ROTA.
• The "Initiated Requests" field totals the number of requests made by patrons from that institution.
• The "Filled Requests" field totals the number of those requests, where another I-Share library filled the request for the patron. This total includes both items that did arrive at the patron’s pick-up location for hold, and items that did not arrive for hold (due to staff or delivery error).
• The Unfilled requests column totals the requests placed by the patrons, where the patron's request went unfulfilled.  
  • The Unfilled requests include:
    • that were "rejected" by the possible lenders- both because no I-Share library was able to fill the request or because the patron was ineligible for the request (aka, had a network block),  
    • those that were canceled by patrons or staff  
    • that were deleted from the system by staff.
