  • The January minutes were approved.
  • Julie Murphy volunteered to help with the next Collections Management Committee talk.

  • Minutes taken by Samantha Seay.
  • Samantha Seay will lead the next Collections Management Committee discussion.
  • Jackie Mann or Brianna Love will take minutes for next meeting.

Announcements

  • Member Announcements:
    • Kim Heinz(Harper College): Just onboarded Overdrive and is anticipating most if not all of the digital resources being available there.  It is anticipated that the “Face” of Harper library will be Overdrive.
  • CARLI Announcements:
    • The CARLI Member OER Initiative offer was announced to support members OER efforts.
    • WEST will be announced as an option soon. It is a Shared Serial Storage. 
    • On March 10 at 1:00, there will be an information session on Consortia Manager.

Discussion

  • Materials Promotion: CMC Community Chat: Recap
    • 29 attendees participated.
    • A PDF of the results of the feedback poll is available for committee members.
    •  People found it helpful to find what was working and not working at other libraries.
    • There was a struggle with a “quiet” participation.
    • Suggestion was made that the question list be sent out in advance.
    • Committee noted that there seemed to be good participation and appreciated Julie’s guidance. 
  • Collecting Non-Traditional Materials: CMC Community Chat
    • The link to the questions for the next Table Talk on Non-traditional Materials was shared.
    • Connection information will go out Wednesday 2/25/26.
    • The questions document is editable, so that committee members can drop their questions and suggestions.
    • Justin shared an article on the topic.
    • The Chat will be Thursday 2/26/26 at 10:00am. 
  • Brainstorm discussion questions for the Alma Analytics Chat.
    • A link to the questions was shared.
    • Several questions were added to the document. 
    • No decision on when the webinar will be held.

The Collection Management Committee will meet next on March 23, 2026 at 2:00– 3:30 p.m.
