Decisions

• Minutes of March 26, 2025 approved with corrections.
• The Annual Report was approved with additions.
• Lesley will send an email asking committee members if there is any additional interest in serving as chair or co-chair by June 20.

Announcements

• CARLI Announcements:
  • CARLI’s IMLS Planning Grant has been reinstated.
  • CARLI is partnering with Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University for the ACRL Assessment in Action Roadshow this year.
  • CARLI Preservation Committee is doing a Burn Simulation and Recovery Workshop on June 9.
  • CARLI will host an Archival Processing Workshop on June 6.
  • CARLI Annual meeting is Tuesday October 21 at the I Hotel. It is the 20th anniversary of CARLI. 

Discussion

• AI Symposium feedback was positive. There was interest in continuing these conversations.
• Future CARLI event feedback forms could ask for permission to share comments or indicate that comments could be used in annual reporting. 
• Two of the three new committee members have already accepted: Kate Tallman, Head of Library Liaison Services at Illinois State University and Kelly Fisher, Public & Access Services Librarian/Professor at Eureka College.
• Kimberly Shotick and Diana Sykes are interested in co-chairing in the coming year. 

Next Meeting Dates and Deadlines

The Public Services Committee will not meet in June. Committee chair(s) will be selected via email.
