Course Reserves: My professor told me it was in the library... Supporting student success through academic reserves
Primary tabs
As higher education costs rise, libraries have been making strategic investments in open educational resources to help eliminate textbook costs for students and promote student success. Traditional course reserves can be an important supplement to these efforts and help libraries support affordable course materials at scale while magnifying the impact of our collections. At the same time, textbook publishing models are evolving in ways that make providing library access more challenging.
Join the CARLI Resource Sharing Committee and your colleagues from across Illinois for an open discussion about course reserves. How are academic reserves services evolving to meet emerging needs and strategic priorities? What tools are we using to facilitate access? What opportunities exist to expand the footprint of reserves on our campuses? What new challenges are we encountering?
To facilitate open conversation, this discussion event will not be recorded.
