CARLI to Purchase Alexander Street Press Video Collections

CARLI is pleased to announce plans to purchase six Alexander Street Press video collections for each governing member library. Thanks to significant purchases made by Northern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, as well as additional purchases made by several other member libraries, Alexander Street Press has offered CARLI pricing that makes this purchase possible.
 
In order to ensure that each governing member libraries receive the video collections which are of greatest value for their educational programs and best complement their current collection of video content and other resources, CARLI has sent each director of a governing member library an email with detailed information about the the collections available, information for trial access to these collections, and the link to the selection survey.

Final selections for each library are due by 5 p.m on January 31, 2013.  If your library director has not received information regarding the Alexander Street Press video collections, please contact support@carli.illinois.edu.

At this time it is anticipated that access to the collections will begin in April 2013. CARLI will be working with Alexander Street Press to arrange for webinars and the dissemination of product information to assist your staff in planning for the availability of these collections.
