Discussions

  • Ongoing work to continue:
    • There is support for continuing/advancing FRBR/Dedup work consortially.
    • Still want to monitor Research Assistant and Document Insights development and react appropriately.
  • Ideas to work on/accomplish this year?
    • Next Discovery Experience (NDE) will be a major development/concern for the coming year.
    • Discussion of Research Assistant analytics. May want to wait to see how Mixpanel affects analytics collection.
    • Ethical cataloging and authority control using DEI Exclude Lists.
    • Consider Primo customizations webinar/lighting rounds (i.e. HathiTrust add-on).

Decisions

  • Minutes of the June 12, 2025 meeting were approved.
  • Committee agreed to a monthly meeting the third Wednesday of each month from 10am-noon.
  • Committee agreed to a random rotating roster for notetaking to be shared prior to August meeting.

Tasks assigned

  • Committee members will review past topics suggestions from FY23 and FY24 and webinar feedback forms from 2024 and 2025 webinars.
  • Evaluate/research the proposed work topics discussed today for the coming year.
