Resource Sharing Committee Meeting: March 20, 2018

Members attending: Belinda Cheek (North Central College), Eric Edwards (Illinois State Library), Kari Garman (Bradley University),  Rand Hartsell (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign), Thomas Mantzakides (Morton College) Marcella Nowak (College of DuPage), Nathan Thebarge (Trinity International University), Ashtin Trimble (Black Hawk College)

Discussion:

• Review of most recent ResShar-ig email topic and response.
  • Question of whether the committee was ready to send out a new question was raised
    • Potential questions were considered, and the decision was made to proceed with a question on how libraries stay on top of running reports related to circulation and patron services
      • Ashtin Trimble is going to draft a question and send it out to the committee for review and comment.
• Annual Project: A review of Universal Borrowing consortial policies.
  • Belinda emailed out the following list of questions and responses that served as an outline for discussion by the committee on potential proposals to make to the board.
  • The committee's considerations will be drafted in the annual project documentation.
• Open Houses:
  • Bradley University is willing to host an Open House during the weeks June 3-7 or June 10-14.
  • A "partner" institution has not been selected yet. LHS-Peoria has been contacted but has not responded.
    • Other opportunities might be Methodist College, OSF College of Nursing, and Illinois Central.
    • The committee will communicate about this via email in the coming weeks.
