Decisions:

• Minutes of the 10/18/2016 meeting were approved.
• The meeting was adjourned at approximately 11:30 a.m.

Announcements:

• CARLI Updates
  • CARLI annual meeting coming up Friday, Nov. 18. Amy will be representing the Committee. Eric planning to attend
  • Final Intermediate Access Reports training on 11/30. Full, with waitlist. Ted Schwitzner hopes to offer more in the spring, since all three filled.

Discussions:

• Oct. 26 I-SHARE Statistics Webinar feedback has been lackluster. Only a handful of attendees submitted surveys. Presentation Slides to be posted to the CARLI website  
• Annual Project (links and descriptions from previous minutes)
  • Reviewed the Annual Project Planning Document, ILLINET Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Traffic Survey document, and Counting Opinions - summarizes the types of reports on library use that can be created, using the information gathered from the Survey 
  • Discussed ILLINET survey data. Will alter scope from Illinois vs. nation to trends within Illinois specifically. Perhaps will expand to nation next year.  We wish to concentrate on Academic/Research Libraries in particular both borrowing and lending trends in the past 5 years.
• Reviewed the Listserv topics / Topic ideas document to choose a November topic.

Tasks assigned:

• Annual Project: Eric will ask Gwen Harrison if there are any comparable national reports and investigate past reports from the State Library that feature Academic libraries.
• ListServ: Thomas to post the question on replacement costs for lost items for November.
