  • Minutes of the September 5, 2013 meeting approved
  • The October discussion topic for ResShare-ig will be what I-Share libraries do when items have an extended ‘in transit’ status and have not been received by the borrowing or lending library .
  • Listserv discussion topics work better with committee members responding so there are already multiple threads for other libraries to look to for examples of discussion
  • Committee determined there are various ways that libraries are classifying ebooks within the I-Share catalog reports
  • Spring Open Houses are moving forward:
    • John A. Logan and SIUC have responded “yes”
    • SIUC best time is March 31- April 5
    • UIUC still waiting
    • NIU, Sarah gives “yes” but Lorna will send an official email request as well
    • Language for promotional materials will be written up


  • Debbie announced there will be catalog training for new member libraries in two weeks
  • Collection Development Webinar registration closes October 4.
  • Annual meeting is November 1; Debbie and Lorna are attending
  • There is an ILLINET revision, sections for “delivery” and “consortia” are being added
  • The updated checklist for certification as ILLINET library will be available January 2014
  • CARLI has been asked to test Voyager 9, which will probably happen early next summer (2014)

  • Kathy will draft the October discussion topic and share with committee, and then listserv
  • Next step in white paper:
    • Come up with focusing questions

  • Schedule of CARLI Resource Sharing Committee meetings: Conference calls on first Thursday of each month, 2:00-3:30 p.m., beginning in September and skipping January
