- Committee voted to co-sponsor the OER Committee’s Community Chat on the topic of libraries and student belonging. How involved the Public Services Committee will be is TBD as we await more details.

- Diana will create a Padlet for the Community Conversation on Student Employee Supervision.
- Kristen, Charity, Gretchen, and Diana will meet to go over the details of the Community Conversation on Student Employee Supervision.
- Kristen will create a final draft of the registration blurb for the Community Conversation.

- Member Announcements:
- Kimberly Shotick (Northern Illinois University): NIU will be hiring for a tenure-track Metadata Librarian.
- Gretchen Schneider (Oakton College): Oakton College is hiring an evening Library Assistant Circulation.
- CARLI Announcements:
- The CARLI Annual Meeting is next Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Formal registration is closed, but if you are still interested in attending, let Amy know.
- Upcoming PDA programs are on the CARLI calendar.
Discussion
- CARLI Community Conversation on Student Employee Supervision taking place on Tuesday, November 18 at 1:00 – 2:30 p.m.
- Training documents and other materials shared during the event won’t be publicly available but will be sent out to attendees afterwards.
- There will be some topics and questions prepared to get the discussion going.
- Diana will create a Padlet to solicit other discussion topics from attendees and to allow for uploading and downloading of documents.
- The committee decided not to set a capacity limit for the event.
- Spring OER/Public Services Joint Community Chat
- OER Committee is hosting and they asked if we’d like to co-sponsor, to which the committee voted “yes.” The level of involvement is TBD while we await more details about the event.
- Spring Learning Commons Open Houses
- Discussion tabled until November meeting.
- In the meantime, Kimberly will draft a call for interest in hosting a Learning Commons Open House, and we’ll discuss options at November meeting.
