  • Potential Committee Programming Topics:
    • Textbook affordability. How best do we communicate what we can do and what limitations exist?
    • Artificial Intelligence
      • Artificial Intelligence policies at the library level and the university level, How are faculty and students dealing with these academic integrity, research and creativity issues?
      • How does the interest or excitement about AI differ across disciplines?
      • What is our role regarding AI at our institution?
      • Are institutions providing policy level documents for colleges in regard to AI use?
      • In what way are libraries dealing with licensing AI tools for institutional use?
      • We probably need to think about narrowing our scope in terms of talking about AI, and make decisions as to what aspect of AI use or resources we want to address.
    • Communicating with and educating faculty about copyright and access opportunities and limitations in multiple formats (ex. Various e-book licenses, streaming video, fair use.) We might provide a resource for CARLI libraries to consider issues related to copyright and fair use and be able to point them to relevant resources, notably _Compact Copyright: Quick Answers to Common Questions_ by Sara R.
