Decisions

• We accepted the notes on the CDL presentation taken by Arlie Sims and revised by Elizabeth Clarage.
• The committee decided not to meet in June but to handle final committee work via email.

Tasks Assigned

• Elizabeth Clarage and Denise Green will share the CDL program notes with CARLI administration to see if there is any concern with adding them to the CARLI website.
• Elizabeth Clarage and Denise Green will email returning committee members to determine chairs for next year.
• Cynthia Kremer will email the responses from the survey on the CDL presentation for the speakers so they can see the feedback.

Announcements

• Member Announcements:
  • Caitlin Archer-Helke (Saint Xavier University): She shared a farewell to the committee via email as she has accepted a new position.
  • Chad Kahl (ISU): Chad is working on the ISU Assessment Initiative Award grant for the development of curriculum-integrated information fluency outcomes tied to the program review process. There is the hope of presenting at a later date, possibly ACRL.
  • Arlie Sims (Columbia College Chicago): They are doing faculty development days. Arlie presented on OER, and there was a lot of interest. He learned which faculty are using OER. A user experience and electronic resources librarian position will be opening soon.
  • Krista Bowers Sharpe (WIU): WIU’s mask mandate is lifted, and they have hired a new government documents/science liaison..
  • Jessica Bastian (ICC): ICC is also working on OER projects, and there is a part-time librarian job open.
  • Lesley Wolfgang (St. John’s College of Nursing): They are starting a new DNP program in August, and Lesley has been ordering textbooks.
  • Cynthia Kremer (JJC): It is finals week at JJC. Many classes will still be online for the summer, but Fall will be close to pre-pandemic.
• CARLI Announcements:
• Denise: CARLI Programmming available on the CARLI Calendar.
• Look at OER Courses in the summer put on by the OER Committee.
• Elizabeth has updated the CARLI Ebook Program page with information on Wiley and Oxford for FY23 (Year 3 of the program).

Discussion

• Controlled Digital Lending
  • The committee reviewed the program evaluation and the program notes. Chad will add missing content from question five to the evaluation document.
• Committee Annual Report
  • The committee reviewed the draft annual report and suggested additions and edits. The report was finalized except for addition of links to slides and notes after review is completed by CARLI staff.

Next Meeting Dates and Deadlines

The committee canceled the June meeting.
