Decisions

  • Minutes for February 7, 2019 meeting were approved.
  • Members will work on annual project as specified in Tasks Assigned.
  • Meeting adjourned @ 2:50pm.

Announcements

  • Member Announcements:
    • Millikin’s president is retiring. The search for replacement will launch soon.
    • COD’s presidential search is ongoing.
    • NIU seeking a new provost, and faculty are unionizing for first time in the institution’s history.
  • CARLI Announcements:
    • Five Vanguard libraries have been selected (out of 25 volunteered) for Alma/Primo integration. Libraries selected are Newberry Library, North Central College, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, University of Illinois at Chicago, and University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Duties include data transfer, testing, etc.
    • CARLI Commercial Products Committee will host Emerging Issues in E-Resources: Usage Statistics and Streaming Video forum @ iHotel on March 26.
    • CARLI Preservation Committee will host a Preservation Workshop on enclosures at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum on May 8.

Tasks Assigned

  • Minutes taken by Aaron.
  • Aaron reports back on Change Management Forum @ UIC on April 2.
  • Nestor forwards annual project files to Elizabeth/Denise.
  • Everyone contribute to project files on Google Drive site.
  • Everyone review introduction and purpose of project.

Discussion

  • Change Management Forum in final stages of planning for April 2. 30 people on waitlist. Agenda will be posted week of March 11. Aaron will attend.
  • Committee discussed organization of files and folders in putting together annual project and agreed to adopt Nestor’s proposal structure.
  • Nestor mentioned identifying up to 25 assessment methods.
