Committee Member Announcements

  • Reanne Dossett and Julia Ventis’s term on the Public Services Committeeis ending. Richard has been re-appointed for another term.

CARLI Report
•    No budget information yet.
•    Proquest eBook Central transition is in progress.
•    Committee meetings will be virtual next fiscal year, not in-person.

Decisions:

  • Minutes of the 4/20/2017 meeting were approved.
  • Anne-Marie Green was confirmed as minutes taker.
  • An email will be sent to solicit interest in serving as co-chairs. Co- chairs must be identified by end of the month.
  • The meeting adjourned at 1:55 pm.
     

Discussion:

  • Annual Project: Makerspaces Website- It was agreed the website is a success. Adding pictures added a lot to the page visually. Pictures from IIT are still needed. Please send any you have to CARLI staff to post. It was also noted that the page needs additional research and references listed. Sue has list has been compiled.  She will be sent to committee as a whole to review, then Denise or Elizabeth will add to the web site.
  • Tools Project – Project completed. Videos from Colleen Shaw at Heartland and Jennifer Sharkey have been linked to the webpage.
  • Annual report has been turned in. The Co-Chairs thanked Denise and Elizabeth for their help and support all year long.
  • No members came forward to volunteer as a co-chair for the committee for next year. Chairs need to be identified by end of the month.
