• For the series, Quick Tips for Disasters/Emergenies, Will will write an article for the March newsletter on simulation (table top) exercises for disasters.

Discussion

• Update on the Illinois Fire Services Institute for CARLI.  It has been scheduled for Jan. 25, 2022. CARLI has received a speaker biography and a program description. Registration will open soon.
• Possible Topics for future newsletter articles: “Quick Tips for Disasters/Emergencies”
  • Disaster Kits – where to put them, what to put in them
  • First response documents – i.e. what to do when you see a leak
  • How to make a contact list – who to contact, both internally and externally
  • Road map of most valuable materials in the collection, how to make one
  • Resources on how to make a full disaster plan
  • A case study of a disaster that a CARLI institution has encountered as a possibility
  • Simulation exercises as a disaster planning tool (ex., Water issues)
• Tours
  • Tabled until 2022.
• Committee opening
  • CARLI is waiting to hear back from a potential candidate.
