  • Minutes of the December meeting were approved.
  • Webliography:
    • The Exhibits section will be amended as proposed by Becky.
  • The meeting was adjourned at 10:45am.

Tasks Assigned

  • CARLI liaisons will make the link changes for the Exhibits page in the Webliography as per Becky’s proposal.
  • Ann will contact Chicago History Museum to firm up details for the Open House.
  • Will is going to write the blurb for the Open House save the date
  • Nora will write up directions for using public transit for the Open House.

  • CARLI Announcements:
    • CARLI has licensed a three-year subscription to EBSCO’s Open Athens for all CARLI governing members who are interested in the identity and access management solution. It can be used to provide a single sign-on platform for institutions who do not yet have one. Info at: https://www.ebsco.com/products/ebsco-openathens) EBSCO is going to hold some webinars about the service and implementation; watch for future announcements.

  • Preservation Resources Webliography
    • The group agreed to Becky’s proposal to amend the links for Exhibits page in the Webliography.
    • Ann has completed checking the links on the Training page in the Webliography and has started the General Preservation page.
    • Nora has completed checking the links on the Glossaries page.
  • Annual Project - Interviews on Preservation Topics
    • Ann has sent questions to Tonia for the Disaster Response interview to be submitted to the CARLI office by January 16th.
    • Meghan has uploaded the questions for Moriah Neils Caruso to Box.
    • Nora has uploaded questions she is going to ask Jenny Dunbar in Box, please share any feedback. April should still be ok, but Mary offered to switch dates with Nora if need be.
    • Mary is on schedule with her interview with Matt Short.

  • Open House 2020
    • Lesa Dowd at the Newberry Library has confirmed availability for March 27th. Their Conservation Lab can accommodate 15 people. Lesa is willing to do two tours. There is an exhibition, Jun Fujita: American Visionary, https://www.newberry.org/jun-fujita-american-visionary that could be toured at the same time as one group is in the Conservation Lab. The tour of the lab would take 30-45 minutes.  
    • The Newberry has a space for lunch and does approve of outside vendors.
    • Chicago History Museum requested more information about the timing of the event. Ann will contact Chicago History Museum to firm up the details.
    • Tentative plan is 10-12 Newberry, 12-2 lunch at Newberry/travel, 2-4 Chicago History Museum.
    • Timeline: Save the date notification mid-January, registration will open February 14th. Registration will begin by being restricted to one person per institution.
