• Chris Diaz agreed to take minutes.
• March minutes were approved with edits.

Announcements

• Member Announcements:
  • Anne Chernaik will be soon taking a sabbatical to work on OER efforts at the College of Lake County.
  • Kathy Ladell suggested that the task force propose a conference presentation for the Open Education Southern Symposium (Oct 1-2, 2018 at the University of Arkansas). She will be coordinating the proposal submission; contact her if there’s interest in assisting.
  • Annette has been meeting with university administration about OER.
  • Linda Zellmer gave a workshop on OER for faculty at Western Illinois University, where she made connections with students about OER and was able to assist a Psychology professor on identifying potential OER.
  • Sue Shultz submitted an IRB application for a student and faculty survey on course costs and OER. The survey is expected to be distributed in May.
• CARLI Updates:
  • Open Textbook Network workshops are coming up, April 23-26.
  • CARLI is working on a newsletter; contact Lorna with any suggestions for the newsletter.

Discussion

• OTN Workshops in April: No updates; everything is ready to go.
• Other: Book chapter is currently in draft form.
