Announcements

• Member Announcements:
  • Jayna Leipart Guttilla (Illinois State University. Announced that the ISU grant funding for program purchasing textbooks has ended. New sources of funding to be identified.
• CARLI Announcements:
  • Upcoming online and in-person CARLI workshops were announced, including the Annual CARLI meeting.

• OER Committee Charge Review 
  • Discussion moved to fall with any new members.

  • Small changes, including the addition of two committee members, to final version noted.

  • Student Course Materials Survey
    • No updates. More work to be done this fall.
  • CARLI Funding Support for Member Continuing Education:
    • Two applicants were funded for the Creative Commons Certificate Program.
  • Illinois Secretary of State/Illinois State Library OER Grant Program
    • Projects are on track and in final stages.
  • DOE Open Textbook Pilot Grant: Illinois SCOERs: Support for the Creation of Open Educational Resources
    • Proposals for July conference has ended.
    • CARLI supporting LibreTexts institution accounts for all CARLI members through 2028.
  • FY25 Activities 
    • Illinois OER Summit, April 7, 2025, Heartland Community College
      • Report from the Summit was shared with attendees. Committee members shared their experience at the Summit and commented on the shared energy and enthusiasm for open work evident at the Summit.
    • Celebrations
      • Appreciation was shared for members stepping off the committee, Dorinne Banks and Dee Anna Phares.
      • Brandon Board will be continuing, and two new members will be joining.
      • Call for new co-chairs to go out via email.
