Announcements

  • Continuing bringing 3 new I-Share libraries in: go live in June
  • OER events continuing on over summer
  • CARLI staff will be in in-person meetings over next 2 days

Decisions

  • The Instruction Committee moved to table discussion of the Information Literacy event to June.
  • The Instruction Committee approved sending out a reminder for the upcoming showcase this Friday and a reminder after Memorial Day.
  • The Instruction Committee approved the discussion questions for the Wrap-Up and Share-Out of the Instruction Showcase.
  • The Instruction Committee discussed ways to increase attendance to the showcase, including adjusting theme to align with other local conferences, possibly changing the time of the year, and continuing to consider cost barriers.
  • The Instruction Committee drafted a feedback form for the Instruction Showcase and agreed to provide the link at the end of the showcase and in a follow-up message to maximize participation. Follow-up will have skip logic so those who registered but did not attend can offer feedback for future directions.
  • The meeting was adjourned at 3:55 p.m.

Tasks assigned

  • Update showcase website with finalized descriptions and materials; initial registration email (May 19th); reminder email (May 30th); zoom link/final info for registrants (May 31st) (Denise and Debbie)
  • Complete draft of feedback questions by EOD 5/26 (whole committee)
  • Write Opening and Closing scripts (Alex O; Heather)
  • Feedback on opening/closing scripts (full committee)
  • Moderators check in with presenters (week of May 22); write some discussion questions (Rebecca and Abby)
  • Set up survey monkey for Instruction Showcase Feedback (May 30-31) to distribute 6/1 (Debbie and Denise)
  • Complete annual report 6/5 (Alex O and Heather) - Complete draft before the 31st - get feedback by 8am Monday 5th.
  • Begin thinking about next year’s leadership (full committee)

I think that July is a 'rest' month for the committee - no meetings - but someone please correct me if I'm wrong about that
