CARLI Update:

  • Minutes from the last three meetings will be posted soon.
  • VuFind set a persistent cookie based on affiliation? This would increase the times when they can display the correct thing for the user. This could also help with ebooks, to only show what the patron can access. No idea when we can make this happen.
  • Working on making New Titles list more sight-impaired accessible
  • Voyager stats clients to VuFind? Working on a way to make that happen
  • Investigating electronic book plates in record in the catalog.
  • Working on improving VuFind indexing for characters with diacritics on them
  • Block thresholds. May need to add help to VuFind my blocks page?
  • Problem with Syndetics due to snowstorm. This caused major issues in display in VuFind because the page was waiting for the info from Syndetics. Need a threshold for response from outside.

IUG Update:

  • consortial purchase ebooks?

VuFind Icons Update:

  • Text for the new icons?
  • Serial discussion. Vote for Serial10 to be adopted for Journal / Magazine icon.
  • "What do you think of our icons" feedback link to get feedback from users.

Request for Numbered Records in VuFind:

  • this is to help with reference assistance on the phone or by chat to easily reference specific items in the result set by number (rather than by title or something)
  • issues in implementation. Facets. Pages.
  • wishlist for XC? Paige will look into implementation in VuFind
