Instruction Committee Meeting Minutes: December 5, 2018

Decisions:

• The committee will be partnering with Jennifer Lau-Bond (Harper College)and Martinique Hallerduff of the The Library Sessions Podcast to offer a series of podcast about inclusive library classrooms.
• Spring webinar presenters have been finalized. Dates are still pending.
• The Instruction Showcase will include a Inclusive Lesson Plan Workshop. Facilitators/presenters are still pending.
• The meeting was adjourned at 2:15 PM.

Announcements:

• CARLI offices will be closed for the holidays: December 24 -  January 2nd.
• Due to the holiday/vacation conflicts, the next committee meeting has been moved to Wednesday, January 9th.  
• Voyage Skills Webinar will take place on December 14th from 11 am to 12pm.
• Alma is coming soon! Training is available on the Ex Libris Alma website for free.
• Molly Mansfield (Dominican University) will be on maternity leave for Spring 2019.

Tasks assigned:

• Marielle and Mackenzie will be moderating the upcoming Twitter Chat!
• Mackenzie will archive the Twitter Chat.
• All: If you are planning on  participating in the Twitter Chat, please add your handle to the “Twitter Chat Questions” documents in  Google Drive so that we will know who’s online!
• All: Review the “Twitter Chat Questions” and make any changes or additions.
• Marielle will follow up with the Spring webinar presenters to finalize dates.
• Marielle will review the calendar at North Park and suggest potential dates for the CARLI Instruction Showcase.
