Instruction Committee Meeting Minutes: March 12, 2018

Meeting called to order at 1:05 pm.

Announcements: None

Discussions:

• Showcase Update: Thursday, May 31st at Dominican University
  • The location is set.
  • The faculty panel will last about 1 hour. Committee members should continue to add panel questions, which will be narrowed down closer to the date.
• Marielle webinar update
  • Things are ready to go. As of the meeting 59 people were registered for the webinar.
• New VuFind
  • Debbie solicited committee input on wording for New VuFind issues 281 & 273.

Tasks assigned:

• Mackenzie will share the call for proposals for the Showcase with several listservs.
  • Matt will mention at the Millikin CARLI open house of 3/15.
  • Molly will announce it at the DOM library school.
  • Other committee members should also think about places to advertise the call.
• Mackenzie will follow up with people who are asking teaching faculty to participate in the Showcase panel
  • (Larissa - photography professor, Mackenzie - English, Molly - education, Amy - ?, Marielle - nursing) by the end of the week (3/16).

Meeting Dates and Deadlines:

• Showcase timeline: Call for proposals is live and they are due by April 2. The committee will review submissions and notify presenters by the following week (week of April 9).
