Discussion

  • Member brought up potentially working on a framework for assessing the strategic plan before we being to provide feedback.  
  • Discussed switching the goal of the Strategic Plan project from making new suggestions and restructuring the plan to figuring out how to achieve what is already written. 
  • Discussed taking incremental steps such as setting timelines for all of the outlined actions. We agreed that taking on too much might not be achievable within the next five months. 
  • CARLI liaisons discussed bringing in certain groups (outlined above) to one of our meetings to ask them what actions they are working on surrounding DEI initiatives that we might be able to collaborate on or take ideas from.  

Decisions

  • No decisions were made, as quorum was not met.

Tasks Assigned

  •  CARLI liaisons will assist in inviting the following groups to February meetings to discuss DEI projects occurring with our partners: 
    • CARLI Committee Chairs 
    • System representatives 
    • IACRL DEI Committee
  • Member from Moraine Valley will create a guide/questions for the February meeting “lunch and learn.”
