Announcements

CARLI Updates

  • Jenny shared that vendors are entering pricing into the selection system for FY24. The selection system should be open by the end of March and stay open through mid-May.
  • CARLI is working on licensing with ProQuest for Alexander Street Press collections, including access fees for collections that were chosen 10 years ago.
  • CARLI is also working on licensing for Kanopy BASE
  • Elizabeth shared that CARLI is negotiating with vendors for FY24 ebook programs.
  • Elizabeth also noted that the Collection Management Committee is looking at the old NetLibrary ebook collection that was purchased for IDAL members in 1999 and 2000. The most recent titles were added 20+ years ago and now live on the EBSCOhost ebook platform. The committee is looking at different subject areas and having them live in different collection in the Network Zone. Notes in the NZ have to be by collection, not per book. It should be marked that these are older titles. The committee is looking at health titles first.
  • Denise shared upcoming CARLI events, including the informal talk on the ACRL Library Trends and Statistics Survey and Alma Analytics & E-Resources 2.
