Discussion

PRODUCT PROPOSALS

There were no product proposals this month.

Annual project

  • The committee discussed the forum held on April 6th and agreed that the event was a success! The event was well attended, and participants were engaged throughout. Other CARLI groups and committees, as well as groups at member institutions, have been very complimentary. The committee agreed that the excellent reception and high levels of participation indicate that the topic is an area of great interest to member libraries and institutions.

Other topics

  • The committee needs to create an annual report that documents the committee roster, actions, activities, and projects during FY22. Marie volunteered to draft the report and Megan will assist if needed. The committee will review the draft report at the next committee meeting.
  • The committee discussed the CARLI committee volunteer opportunities and the importance of volunteers. Employees at member institutions libraries, including paraprofessionals, can volunteer, as long as employees have working knowledge of the areas related to the particular committee.

Decisions

  • Minutes from the March meeting were approved.

Tasks Assigned

  • Marie will draft the committee annual report, to be discussed at the next meeting.
