  • The April 27, 2026 minutes were approved.

Announcements

  • Member Announcement:
    • Justin Sextro (Southern Illinois University Carbondale): Southern Illinois University Carbondale is hiring a collection development librarian.
  • CARLI Announcements:
    • CARLI has finalized our agreement with access for all CARLI Members to the University of Illinois Press Ebooks on the JSTOR platform for FY27.
    • The Field Museum and the Chicago History Museum will go live on I-Share this month.
    • Continuing Education
      • Archives Committee is holding a webinar next week, “Emotional Labor in the Archives: Supporting Archivists Mental Health in Donor Relations.”
      • Digital Possibilities summer webinar series held jointly with the Florida Virtual Campus.
    • Wrapping up the Fiscal Year selection cycle.
    • CARLI has entered a contract with CELUS a cloud-based e-resources usage statistics tool.
      • First year of access, CARLI staff have access to consortium provided resources.
      • CARLI will broker to members in the future during the software as a service cycle.

Discussion

  • Exploring Alma Analytics Together: A CMC Community Chat
    • The session went well with good discussion.
    • Edith did a great job moderating.
    • There were 32 attendees.
    • Overall impression that what made it successful was having people being able to ask questions and have CARLI staff answer.
  • Committee Annual Report
    • The report was submitted on time.
    • CARLI staff were able to include the attendance from the last community chat.
  • Committee work for the remainder of the year
    • Committee discussed if there might be a project with a small scope and short timeline.
    • Options discussed included Alma Analytics website updates; Title II Accessibility; Library Collection Development Policies; and the CARLI Collection Management Presentations and Webinars webpage.
    • Committee members decided to review the Presentation and Webinars webpage and pass the other items on to the FY27 committee.
