  • October minutes were approved.

Discussion

  • Annual Meeting Results
    • Gretchen did the presentation.
    • Note for next year, need to add all the people who were involved in the project on the slides. There was a lot of interest in change management forum.
    • There was a question about why the committee was not continuing projects, if we close down a project, should we ask if others are interested in participating? The committee discussed the work it did to increase participation in the projects before deciding not to continue.
  • Buzz for Change Management Forum
    • The program has a new date, April 2, 2019.
    • Dan can help but can’t attend as he has Tuesday meetings. Kelli is the other CMC member on the planning committee.
    • The forum planning subgroup with members from both the Collection Management Committee and the Technical Services Committee will meet on Monday, 19th at 2:00 pm.
    • After the subcommittee meets, will have more idea about programming/scheduling.
  • Current Project Updates
    • Open Access eBooks
    • Purchased eBooks Statistics
      • Elizabeth is working on it.
    • Textbook Reserves
      • The group met and talked about questions for the survey. Elizabeth prepared a draft document with survey questions for the subcommittee to review. Michelle edited the document during the discussion. Once the survey is created, and the group reviews, then it will be sent it to the entire committee to review. Likely timeline to send survey out is January.  The survey will include questions about curriculum materials so that there is only one collections survey to the membership.
    • UB Stats
      • Jen talk to Debbie. Jen will be working on it soon. The Resource Sharing Committee did a survey last year as part of its annual project to ask libraries how their / if they looked at their ILL statistics and how those influence their collection development.

Next Meeting

The next committee meeting will be a conference call on December 13, 2018 from 9:30 – 11:00am.
