Requests from Catholic Theological Union, John Wood Community College and the University of St. Francis were not approved.
  • The Board approved the charge to the I-Share Next Task Force as amended.
  • The Board approved the tentative parallel timelines for the I-Share Next project as amended.
  • The Board approved the membership recommendations
    • Governing membership will have two new criteria added:
      a. The institution must be not-for-profit
      b. The institution must be incorporated in Illinois (as established by not being identified as an Out-of-State Institution by IBHE)
    • Affiliate membership benefits to be redefined to include: Only participation in CARLI workshops, training events, forums, and email discussion lists. Affiliate members would no longer be eligible to participate in brokering, delivery, subsidized resources, committees, or awards.
    • Affiliate membership will be open to for-profit or not-for-profit institutions that are incorporated in Illinois, OR out-of-state institutions recognized by IBHE, with a physical presence in Illinois. (Affiliate membership would be the only option available to for-profit and/or out-of-state (IBHE) institutions.)
    • For-profit members Harrington College of Design and Kendall College may continue as Governing members and remain in I-Share until I-Share migrates to a new library management system, or until July 1, 2017 if no new library management system has been implemented. For-profit member the Chicago School of Professional Psychology is no longer incorporated in Illinois and is therefore ineligible under the new membership criteria. They will be given 12 months’ notice of the termination of their Governing membership and I-Share participation agreements.
