Parking: Parking on the University of Illinois campus can be difficult. Please allow yourself an additional 30-40 minutes to locate a parking spot and make your way to the Main Library. All lots noted in yellow on the parking map have some meters with longer times. There are also some day meters on the first floor of the UIUC parking deck noted as C7 on the map.

Meters: Within the “University Parking District,” there are meters from the University of Illinois, the city of Champaign, and the City of Urbana.  They all have logos indicating their affiliation: Meters. The U of I meters are $1 an hour.  U of I meters have limits on the length of time you can park in the spot (30 minutes, 2 hours, 8 hours, and 10 hours). If you park in a metered spot, make certain it is an 8 or 10 hour meter as the shorter-timed meters have the expectation that you will move your car when the time expires. There is a Pay by phone option for U of I meters. If you are interested in this option, please install the app prior to arriving on campus. Otherwise, please bring enough change to pay for parking for the entire day at a meter.

Accessible parking spaces:  Anyone with a vehicle displaying a valid state disability placard or plate may park in one of the five designated accessible parking spaces in Lot E3 on the west side of the Main Library. These are metered parking spaces. The University has a Metered Disabled Parking FAQ.

Non-U of I Parking Option: The City of Champaign does not offer any covered parking in the University District. However, JSM Management operates the Campus Center Public Parking Deck at 509 E Healey Street, Champaign, IL 61820. The Parking Deck is approximately .75 mile from the Library.  This is a four-level, automated parking deck with plenty of parking available. Accessible parking spaces are located near the south entrance on each level. Upon your departure you will enter your ticket into the machine, and then make a payment using credit or cash. Hourly parking is available at the following rates:
• 1 – 7 hours @ $1 per hour
• 8 – 12 hours @ $8 flat rate
• 12 – 24 hours @ $10 flat rate

Registration: To Register, please click the "Register" Tab above. Due to space limitations, only two people per CARLI member institution will be allowed to register – on a first come, first register basis.  If space remains after March 28th, registration will be open to all interested CARLI members.  Registration will close on April 1st at noon.
