Academic & Research Library Security Forum: June 16, 2014

The CARLI Public Services Committee held a day-long forum on Security for academic and research libraries on Monday, June 16th, at the College of DuPage in lovely Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
Security is a concern for all libraries, in all communities. This forum was designed to highlight current issues in library security through discussions, presentations, and a hands-on training session.  The intended audience for this program was librarians and staff from CARLI member libraries.

It is important to remember that with any security concern, your local campus, institution, or library may have policies and procedures in place that differ from those mentioned below in handouts or discussed at the in-person forum. Please refer to your institution's guidelines/security personnel when available.
