“Usage Statistics for Electronic Resources: Beyond the Alphabet Soup” Webinar

Monday, March 11, 2013 - 10:00am to 11:30am

Electronic Resources Working Group Webinar

Description: Please join us for a pre- symposium webinar covering the basics of usage statistics in electronic resources.  Topics will include a brief history, definitions, and standards as well as a discussion of the issues involved in interpreting statistics gathered.  Information will also be presented to answer the question of why it is valuable to collect this data and what can explain the variations in usage data which may be seen during the year or related to the subject matter.  This webinar is intended to introduce concepts that will be covered more fully in the E-resources Usage Statistics  symposium presented on March 25, 2013.  Please Note:  Webinar registration is not limited to those who will attend the symposium.  In addition, the webinar is not a prerequisite to attend the symposium but the information presented will be expanded upon during the symposium .

Presented by: Denise D. Green, Associate Professor, Electronic Resources/Technical Services Coordinator & Research/Instruction Librarian, Millikin University
