PDA Series: An Afternoon With Afro Latino Travels Television Host Kim Haas (PBS  Travel Host and Producer)

We are in for a real treat so bring your tea/coffee and your positive vibes as we take a journey with our special guest Kim Haas.  During our time with Kim we will discuss her journey from idea to television host and producer, her process of gathering primary source materials and background research for her show, what's next in her production schedule and finally how we can support her moving forward.  Kim has such a warm inviting energy that I guarantee you will leave the session with a smile on your face.  We will also leave plenty of time for questions

Kim Haas is Executive Producer, Host and Creator of Afro-Latino Travels with Kim Haas, a travel show celebrating the African influence in Latin America. She has traveled extensively throughout Latin America. Kim has been active in Afro-Latino issues for more than a decade and is founder of www.losafrolatinos.com, a blog celebrating Afro-Latino culture. She has extensive experience in media and communications. Kim served as Director of Marketing for WWSI TV Telemundo in Philadelphia. She also served as an on- camera pledge host (English, Spanish and Italian) for WYBE TV in  Philadelphia. She has appeared in numerous videos and commercials for companies such as Kohl’s, Time Warner Cable and Walgreens. She speaks fluent Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. Her undergraduate and graduate degrees are in Spanish. Kim is owner of Haas Media LLC, a multilingual community outreach, translation services, and communications firm located in the Greater New York City area.
