Scopof work: Across the state, CARLI member libraries of all sizes and types are under increasing pressure to demonstrate the value of library resources and instruction to student success. The I-Share Analytics Task Force will identify the I-Share patron data to be collected, establish processes to enable secure data collection, and determine the need for Institutional Research board approval (both locally and at the University of Illinois).
The task force should develop a process for securely collecting both anonymous and personally identifiable data individual institutions and/or the entire consortium, while maintaining appropriate protections for patrons.
The task force should also provide recommendations regarding any changes to I-Share policies that apply to data about resource sharing transactions initiated in I-Share between the I-Share participant institutions.
Member appointment and terms: The Task Force is intended to be temporary and all members shall be expected to serve until the charge is fulfilled. The group shall include representation from the CARLI Board, and the membership at large.
