Announcements:

• CARLI Updates
  • CARLI office will be closed Friday, December, 23, 2016 through Monday, January 2, 2017 - if there is an emergency you can call the CARLI support number and it will go through. Non-emergency questions/issues can be sent via email and will be followed up when CARLI offices open again on January 3, 2017.
  • Great Lakes Resource Sharing Conference (in Chicago suburbs) accepting proposals.
  • Illinois Library Association Conference (in Chicago suburbs) presentations are being requested until March - we can consider submitting a proposal on work our committee has done.
  • Open calls for input - whether you attended or did not attend the CARLI meeting surveys. Anne Craig is looking for input on committee structure and how committees are going. Survey links will be sent in the CARLI news.

Discussions:

• CARLI Annual Meeting - more than 100 people attended, 149 people registered
  • The presentation on our annual project went well, and Amy got positive feedback on the presentation, and a good question about whether patrons do not like getting a pre-publication open access version of a published article.
  • The UStream video of the annual meeting will not be archived. It is a temporary video file where you can hear the speakers but cannot see the slides.
  • Interesting table talks about the strategic planning

  • Annual Project Planning Document, ILLINET Survey Data Spreadsheet, and ILLINET Survey Technical Questions Document available in GoogleDocs.
  • ILLINET Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Traffic Survey
  • Counting Opinions - summarizes the types of reports on library use that can be created, using the information gathered from the Survey.
    • 2016 is FY2016 is the data that libraries are completing now
    • We should choose the 2015 and prior (FY2011-FY2015)

  • We got quite a few responses to our November listserv topic about replacement costs.
  • Send a summary of the responses to the listserv questions that we have asked so far this year so the summary can be included as part of the listserv archive.
• Spring Open Houses -
  • Eureka and Illinois Central College will do open houses the week May 16th or May 22nd - Central Illinois in the Peoria area
  • Thomas and Kathleen at UIC will talk about some dates in either April or May

Tasks assigned:

• Jen will run data for the 2015 ILLINET Survey which will show the FY2015 data
• Amy will run data for 2014 ILLINET Survey which will show the FY2014 data
• Debbie will set up a Box account to share full-text articles that we find related to ILL borrowing trends.
• Everyone can look for articles and share the full-text articles we find in the Box account to be used for our Literature Review
• Rand and Thomas will summarize the responses to the questions they posted.
• Marcella will post the next listserv question the first week of January.
