Discussion and Decisions

• Andrew Lenaghan was selected to take the minutes.
• Webinar planning
  • Email has gone out regarding interest in a webinar on the topic of library space and recent redesigns, or new buildings with CARLI.
  • Besides Brian Beecher, who is confirmed, Carla Tracy from Augustana and Lisa Richmond from Wheaton College will be our three presenters.
  • Each presenter will talk about recent space redesigns, or new library buildings.
  • The webinar will last for one hour, with each presenter getting 7-10mins for their projects, leaving 30mins for discussion for the participants.
• Instruction Group Collaboration
  • Julie Murphy from the Instruction Team responded to Andrew’s email regarding a possible collaboration.
  • It was determined that since there was little time to plan a large scale event, the Instruction Team was working on a smaller event that would require less funding. Within the smaller event, there were questions as to the involvement of the PSWG at this time. However, the Instruction Team was willing to create a collaborative space in order to plan an event in the future.
  • David and Marianne volunteered to serve as representatives on the joint PSWG/I-Share Instruction Team.
• Video project/Web space update
  • The roll-out of the new CARLI website is just getting underway.
  • As soon as the website is fully up, Jen will ask the CARLI web team about the ability to have space on the CARLI website for hosting videos
  • YouTube was discussed as an alternative to hosting space on the CARLI webpage. Jen will find out if this is a better option.
