Decisions
- Minutes of October 30, 2024 approved with corrections.
- Decided to meet at 9 a.m. for our December 11th meeting.
- Decided on 2 timelines for the symposium to accommodate either 4 or 5 presenters.

- The committee will reschedule our April 23rd meeting at a future meeting due to a conflict with an all-staff CARLI training event.
Announcements
- Member Announcements:
- Gretchen Schneider (Oakton College): The Library in Des Plaines will be moving to its temporary space in preparation for their remodel into a Learning Commons.
- Kimberly Shotick (Northern Illinois University): Their library is looking into acquiring a Generative AI tutor system for student support. They also developed a Generative AI and Academic Honesty video for the for their 1st year composition students. It has Creative Commons Attribution license (reuse allowed) if anyone is interested in using it.

Discussion
- Lesley contacted the DEI, Commercial Products, Discovery/Primo VE, Instruction, and Preservation Committees to notify them that April 25, 2025 would be the date of the symposium. She asked that they confirm they are participating by December 9th and send us an abstract and bios for their presentations by January 17th.
- The Preservation Committee is planning to get an outside group to present, so we will let them pick the slot that best meets the needs of their presenter before planning the other presentation time slots.
- We discussed timing for the symposium. We have narrowed it down to two agendas to accommodate either 4 or 5 presentations depending on the final number of presentations.
- 4 presentations:
- 9:30 - 10:00 a.m.: Intro and Keynote
- 10:00 - 10:50 a.m.: Presentation 1
- 11:00 - 11:50 a.m.: Presentation 2
- 11:50 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: Lunch/Break
- 12:30 - 1:20 p.m.: Presentation 3
- 1:30 - 2:20 p.m.: Presentation 4
- 2:30 – 3:00 p.m.: PSC wrap-up
- 5 presentations:
- 9:00 - 9:10 a.m.: Introduction (no Keynote)
- 9:10 - 10:00 a.m.: Presentation 1
- 10:10 - 11:00 a.m.: Presentation 2
- 11:10 am - 12:00 p.m.: Presentation 3
