- Two members rotated off in June 2024
- Three current members terms end in 2025
- Three current members terms end in 2026
- Incoming members with terms ending in 2027, will begin July 1, 2024
- Committee Chair/Co-Chairs 2024-2025: Shelby Strommer and Bonnie Parr will serve as co-chairs the next committee year.
- Committee Completed Work: this year completed the Committee Annual Report; Monthly Preservation Topics: Disaster planning and response; & updating the Preservation Resources webpage.
- Upcoming Events:
- Finalized details for the Digital POWRR webinar on July 23, 10am event.
- Discussed the Newberry tour during SAA, August 15, 10:30am: limited to 12 CARLI members with priority to given to CARLI members attending the SAA Conference.
- The IFSI fire salvage in-person workshop is postponed until dates can be secured.
- Points about IN-PERSON Continuing Education Events:
- CARLI suggests lead times for in-person event planning:
- six months for large events
- four months for small events
- four to six weeks lead time for webinar events
- CARLI members will be asked next committee year about member preference for preservation events: in-person or virtual events and about type: workshop, tour, demonstrations, etc.
- Ideas for Preservation IN-PERSON Continuing Education Events:
- Preservation office hours or drop-in session could be held for CARLI members with format-specific materials questions (newspaper clippings, oversize items, etc.).
- Format-specific preservation sessions with supplies sent to registered participants ahead of the evemt for an activity to perform together.

- Other in-person ideas:
- Preservation collection care technique workshops.
- Vendor-held workshops to showcase preservation materials.
- Preparing for collections move.
- Ideas for Preservation VIRTUAL Continuing Education Events and/or Blog Series:
- Fabrication events: demonstrating making archival enclosures, or using a specific tool, coupled with online links to assist in the task.
- Local preservation outreach: learn how to create partnerships with other institutions in a given area to address preservation issues and needs.

- Discuss the development of the Preservation Survey as a committee project.
- Poll committee members about whether and where to hold an in-person meeting.
