• Member Announcements:
  • Bonnie (Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum): The ALPLM has an open position.
• CARLI Announcements:
  • Annual Meeting is November 16. In-person registration is closed, but people can still register to attend online.
  • CARLI has job list people can submit to via email.
  • Bonnie Parr is new to Preservation Committee; She is the Historical Document Conservator at ALPLM. Bonnie was introduced to the rest of the committee.

Discussion

• Monthly Preservation Series. Link sent out with new entry for preservation notes; will be ready when newsletter comes out; Heidi, Gabriel, and Patti are up for December, January, and February; Brad will interview Bonnie for the March
• Preservation Resources: No links added to list on CARLI preservation pages; Jade still needs to check hers; No one has checked Training link group; Bonnie will do this.
• CARLI Annual Meeting: The Preservation Committee to be included in the table talk activity to gather insights and discussion topics on preservation related issues. What are members biggest preservation challenges. Jade will join the virtual breakout room. Survey will be sent afterwards to gather feedback; will employ different ways to gather information to see what’s important to members; keep a listing of follow up questions and prompts to keep the conversation going; Brad and Shelby will manage the discussion onsite and take notes for compilation later on.
• Updates on previous suggestions for committee project/continuing education programming: We are still waiting on quote for IFSI fire salvage workshop. Should have this soon. Looking at dates in May, so there’s time to plan that or other programming for the Spring, especially if we can make a decision by December. Nicole will look at potential dates for the heavy metals in 19th century books webinar with Shelby and research partners.
• Elizabeth asked for updates on the webliography by next month; page navigation will remain as is.
