I-Share Resource Sharing Team Meeting: January 12, 2012

December minutes- approved

Reports

1. IUG report (Howard)- IUG met Dec 17th. Got CARLI update and discussed UB Blocks. Acq is working on May 4th Spring Forum at Newberry and some open houses in Spring. Instruction will also have Spring Forum, on-site. They just had an unconference on Tuesday. Wrap-up of e-Book meeting. CARLI will meet with e-Book vendors at ALA. IUG is apply to have a presentation at e-Luna conference in March. CARLI will have Forum at IACRL.
    
2. CARLI report (Mel): Purchase on demand acquisition project ran into tech issues, so will be postponed. A few docs have been updated—damage of non-book items in delivery, manual procedures for suspending own patrons, and docs for UB standardization. No report on ShelfLister. No update on HathiTrust.
    
3. Discussion of new UB Block: No major problems reported. We discussed the counters being reset once a week, and also finding patron info from Item Record.
    
4. Spring Forum: Maybe Wesleyan or Champaign-Urbana. Hands-on demonstrations for newer folks and refresher regarding procedures in Voyager. Going through the more arcane procedures. Blocks, Packaging, etc. Face-to-face. Looking at dates in last week of April.
