  • The Public Services Committee will host a webinar on March 17 -- on Personal Knowledge/Citation/Data Management Tools.
  • Chicago School of Professional Psychology will be removed from CARLI servers.
  • A second daily batch of Item available notices will go out (providing quicker notification that I-Share item available at circulation desks)
  • The Resource Sharing Committee will be scheduling an open house to look at various ILL workflows.
  • CARLI waiting for ExLibris to send Voyager 9.1 client.


  • Webinar
    • Webinar on Faculty Collaboration is scheduled for 2/26, 1:30-3pm CST
    • 54 registrants as of Friday, 2/20
    • Campbell will provide technical support during the webinar and Guittar will introduce the presenters
  • Instruction Showcase
    • Karen Hogenboom, from UIUC. "How To Build Relationships with Campus Partners" (instructors, departments, organizations). She plans to have some group interaction/discussion incorporated into her time. We told her she should plan on about 45 minutes (including group time) over the lunch hour.
  • Toolkit
    • The committee discussed how Standard One could be taught for different levels of students.
      • Standard One: The information literate student determines the nature and extent of the information needed.
        • Students can develop a research topic in scope appropriate to their level.
        • Students gradually learn the kinds of resources they would need to satisfy the scope of their research topic.
    • Van Riper proposed a workshop for the summer or fall of 2015 that would ask librarians from all over the state to come together to work mapping the Information Literacy Standards to the Framework for Information Literacy.

Tasks Assigned:

  • Instruction Showcase- Save the Date/Call for presenters: Whaley will have a draft by Monday 2/23. Committee members are requested to review it and respond with any changes by Wednesday 2/25.
  • Webinar: Guittar will send reminder on Friday to presenters to forward their slides to Campbell and test out the room, and on Wednesday to Instruction IG

Meeting Dates and Deadlines:

  • The committee decided an in-person meeting would be necessary to focus on the scope and production of the Toolkit.
    • A Doodle poll was sent out on Friday, February 20, and the in-person meeting is scheduled for Friday, March 20, 9:30-1:30pm, at the CARLI Offices in Champaign, IL.
