Tasks Assigned:

  • Group members need to review the October 2012 minutes on the group's wiki and initial.
  • Book of the Month for February needs to be added to site (Kim will add to this month; Fred will do March; will discuss April submission at February meeting).
  • Predatory Open Access Journals. To identify titles in SFX, the CARLI Office needs ISSNs. Chad, David, Lynn, and Kim offered to help look up a small group of titles in SFX to see if there are problems. Each member will take one letter by publisher to see scope and problems—go with letter of their last name. The small group will investigate and report back at the February meeting.
  • Group will review and discuss utilizing ArchivesGrid (http://beta.worldcat.org/archivegrid/) as a possible tool for CARLI members instead of or in addition to the Special Collections Survey.
  • Kim will continue identifying items from the wiki that should be kept/updated to the new CARLI website. She will have list for consideration by end of February.
  • Begin thinking of possible conference ideas for a fall 2013 symposium. Group will brainstorm at next meeting.
