CARLI Updates

The CARLI Fiscal Year 2021 Selection Cycle should be ready to open sometime near the end of March and run through sometime in the beginning of May.

  • EBSCO and Proquest hit the five-year mark in a ten-year contract this fiscal year, during which price caps can be reset on non-sole source products.  Please expect some kind of an increase on these products; institutions may want to shop around with other vendors.  Jenny will send an email out to all eResource contacts with additional details sometime soon.
  • CARLI FY21 Selection Cycle introduces fifty-three new products.
  • CARLI will not be offering Syndetic Solutions during this selection cycle.
  • Swank and Statista deals are currently in University Purchasing, but CARLI hopes to include these products in the FY Selection Cycle.
  • Statista has been working on improving accessibility in their user interface.

Elizabeth discussed an upcoming opportunity for CARLI institutions to purchase CARLI Consortial eBooks.

CARLI Directors and the CARLI Board of Directors drafted and sent a letter to EBSCO and Ex Libris regarding more open sharing of data.

CARLI requested that CARLI Committees remain static during the course of FY2021 and request extended appointments on the committees for all members who are willing and able to do so. The CARLI CPC committee will be three new members.
