Discussions

updates

Selection system redesign  - The selection system project has moved into the maintenance phase in which continued testing and improvements will be made.  The dates for beta testing of the new system have not yet been determined, but will most likely be in late November or early December.  There will be a 3 week testing window.  The old system will be opened next week for libraries to enter their selections for CY 2016.

License agreement update - RFP license agreements are completed.

Cindy will be sending an email to the membership about 3 direct offers:  Oxford University Press, Salem Press, and R2.

annual project

Discussion continued about the FY16 project which will be development of a Usage Statistics Resource page.  Various ideas were discussed regarding what should be included on the page besides the webinar recordings.  Ideas included links to Project Counter, links to a similar page for SUSHI, examples of how libraries use statistics for decision making, examples of ERMs that libraries are using, examples of what libraries do without an ERM, and podcasts by librarians on related issues.  The group intends for the resource page to evolve over time rather than being static.

continuing education

Usage statistics webinars discussion continued. Ann compiled questions that were sent via the email query.

Proposal discussion

Discussion continued regarding how to make sure that the content we are offering is of the greatest value to our libraries and the committee believes that a survey is the best way to begin addressing this question.  Cindy will draft the survey questions.
