Decision

• Minutes of the April 2021 meeting were approved with one correction.

Tasks Assigned

• Minutes taken by Keith Eiten.
• Committee members should review the weeding e-books document, in preparation for final approval at June meeting,
• Subcommittee members should supply David Bell with short summaries of their activities for the year so that he can add to the committee’s annual report.

• CARLI Announcement:
  • The CARLI consortial e-book program for FY 2021-22 is nearly finalized; CARLI will announce details soon.

Discussion

• Informal Zoom chats: Consensus was that they went well and were well-received. We should consider doing them again in the future. Masciadrelli suggested that Bell put this into the annual report both as a summary and a recommendation for the FY22 committee.
• Weeding E-books recommendations: Reviewed the finalized version of the document. One addition was suggested -a statement about e-books that are difficult to use or have intrusive DRM. All committee members should review the document in preparation for final approval at June meeting.
• Membership for 2021-22: Because of the FY21 CARLI Board's call to review committees, no new members were added in 2020-21, thus at the end of this year's term, six members will be rotating off the committee. Three current committee members (Buckley, McGuigan, and Blewett) agreed to continue their service, and three new members will be added for 2021-22.
• Ideas for 2021-22 committee: Suggestion was that the committee should work on Alma Analytics for next year, especially in the area of how to share searches and reports.
