  • CARLI Announcements
    • CARLI Ebook PDA will go live on May 6th, 2014 (29,237 MARC records, EBL vendor). MARC records are exposed in I-Share and local catalogs, but not loaded, similar to the way HathiTrust records are exposed.  The records are not visible in Classic WebVoyage.  Libraries that already have an EBL PDA will need to work with EBL to de-dup/exclude the records.  Libraries that don’t use EBL can de-dup locally with e-ISBNs.  At this time 59 libraries have not set up the authentication for the ebook PDA.  An informational website is forthcoming.
    • Last Copy Project continues to see 25-30 books per month.
    • No Voyager upgrades this summer—summer 2015, likely.  Migrating from 7.2.5 to 9 on all modules.  If libraries have specific training needs now, write to the CARLI staff.
    • There are open positions on the nine CARLI advisory committees.  CMC terms for Kim, Chad, Nicole and Todd are up at the end of June 2014 meeting.  CMC will have three (3) replacements for those four people, and return to a committee membership of nine (9).
    • The CARLI Research Subsidy Program is still in effect.  An intent to apply is necessary by March 31 if one wishes to submit a proposal.
